This is the best advice I’ve ever heard, and also some I would offer to many people. Don’t give up.

Notes on the new iPad

Despite how amazing, magical, or downright astounding the new iPad is… I’m not going to bother worrying about it - yet. For the 1% of users out there using the device to casually browse the web, they can wait for the internet to adapt. I keep hearing that everyone needs to revise their websites RIGHT NOW. But let me ask you this, when was the last time you struggled to revise a website for those two users that visited in IE5.5? Exactly.

Don’t worry about the iPad and its glorious display. If you’re making a product now, awesome, go for making it as adaptable as you can. In the coming months/years more and more devices and monitors will sport the ‘retina’ displays. It’ll be nice to be ready for them, but I’m not going to stop and change the internet for one device.

design-o-clock:

Many cities are full of vacant storefronts and people who need things. Made by Candy Chang, these stickers are an easy tool to voice what you want, where you want it. Just fill them out and put them on abandoned buildings and beyond. The stickers are custom vinyl and they can be easily removed without damaging property. It’s a fun, low-barrier tool to provide civic input on-site, and the responses reflect the hopes, dreams, and colorful imaginations of different neighborhoods.
